CDCDC has space available now for children ages 3 to 5 years old. If you are interested in joining our NAEYC accredited program, you can contact us to ask questions or schedule a tour.

Teddies Classroom Schedule

7:15–8:30 Arrival: Children engage in child-initiated activities within the various areas in the classroom. Children may also eat snacks brought from home at this time.
8:30–8:50 Exploration time: Supervised exploration of the environment by the children, or other activities prepared by the teacher. Children are welcome to participate in group activity or explore the different areas of the classroom.
8:50–9:10 Circle time: Social time, where children engage in large group activities including songs, fingerplay, music and movement, and reading books.
9:10–9:15 Preparation for AM snack: Where appropriate, children assist with setting the table. Children wash hands and transition to snack.
9:15–9:45 Snack time: Snack is served family style, with teachers at the tables to assist when needed.
9:45–10:30 Outdoor play (weather permitting): Child-directed play under teacher supervision, or group walks. In the event of bad weather, children may engage in gross motor activities in the playroom.
10:30–11:15 Teacher-directed small group activities: Creative expression, fine motor activity, language development, or sensory activity
11:15–11:20 Clean up and hand washing
11:20–12:00 Lunch: When appropriate, children assist with setting the table. Children wash hands and transition to snack. Lunch is served family style.
12:00–12:30 Clean up, diaper changing, and set up cots
12:30–2:30 Nap: Quiet activities are provided for early risers.
2:30–3:00 Preparation for PM snack: When appropriate, children help with setting the table. Children wash hands and transition to snack.
3:00–3:30 Snack time and clean up: Snack is served family style, with teachers at the tables to assist where needed.
3:30–4:15 Outdoor play (weather permitting): Child-directed play under teacher supervision, or group walks. In the event of bad weather, children may engage in gross motor activities in the playroom.
4:15–5:00 Teacher-directed small group activities: Science, math, and language development.
5:00–5:45 Diaper changing, self-directed activities, departure
